The background/setting of the image is a dark and sullen field with low mountains in the back. It looks like it's around dusk outside. The ground has dark brown, almost grey/black dead grass and the sky has dark clouds. The colors on the girl are much more vibrant than the background which makes her standout in the image. She has blonde hair with two braids tied with white bows at the end of them. She's wearing a dark blue dress with no shoes on. She has a crow on her shoulder and has a bouquet of bright white, red, and pink flowers in her hand. Next to her on the ground is a bird cage, probably where the crow cam from. The bird cage has some of the flowers from the bouquet in it.

The setting of this image is a dark and dusky field with low mountains in the background. The sky has dark grey clouds that appear to be the start of a storm. The ground is full of dark brown, almost black/grey dead grass and dirt. The girl standing in the center of the image has vibrant colors, glowing, emphasizing her presence as she stands out from the dull background. She's wearing a dark blue dress with no shoes on, creating a rough feeling of where she's standing. Her blonde hair is in two braids that lay down either side of her face, each tied with a white bow at the ends. In her hand is a colorful bouquet of white and salmon colored flowers. A few of the flowers have fallen to her feet, and some are in a gold ornate bird cage. There is a crow on her .....

Augmented Reality Paragraph

Augmented reality is a view of the real world from behind a screen altered with computer generated images, videos, sounds, and more. There are many uses, artistic and functional, for augmented reality. One off the top of my head that I've seen before is its use in cars. For example, some cars have cameras on their bumpers to show the driver where they're backing up. The screen in the car with the video from the camera usually has guidelines that appear to show where the car will steer. This is augmented reality that many people use today. Another use could be for construction. When building, a camera could be used with augmented reality to show where to avoid certain obstacles in building, or to show a preview of what is actually going to be built to fit into the space its going. One more use is for augmented reality could be video games. Games known by everyone like pokemon or super mario could be made with augmented reality to put the person in the actual game.

Response to Counter-monuments

Before reading this paper, I did not know what a counter-monument or anti-monument was. I've only known what a monument is. After reading, I have a better understand of this concept of a counter monument, and I realized I've seen many counter monuments already, such as the Vietnam veterans war memorial and the woman lacking limbs in trafalgar's square. From my understanding, a counter monument is a form that generally recognizes the negative sides of things, versus how a monument glorifies. A monument can promote a positive reminder of something, but also have people forget all of the dark and troubling parts of what it's representing. For example, many of the monuments in DC glorify the white male figures, but they do not portray anything negative such as slavery or the slaughtering of native americans. I find this concept of monuments vs anti monuments to be kind of interesting and i hope to think about it more the next time i come across them on the national mall and elsewhere in the world. This article also help get me started thinking about the final project, as i was very lost before on what to think an anti-monument was

This counter-monument is dedicated to the many animals that have been used for the testing of products and medical experiments. To give people an idea of what animals feel in this time, i've created a 64ft x 143ft lab rat maze, with approx 3-4ft wide corridors to move through. The walls are covered in different animal skins and the floor is a red color to give the feeling of danger, along with the outside being made of metal to represent the cages animals are trapped in. The hight of the maze and the narrow corridors give an enclosed or trapped feeling, much like the animals experience every day.
